Future of Smart Cities

During 2016-2017, I worked with the City of Atlanta in the Information Technology (IT) department as the Senior Program Manager of the "SmartATL" Smart Cities Program with a view into the future of Smart Cities.
  • Autonomous and Connected Vehicles - Presented to the Perimeter Community Improvement District on "Atlanta Commuting 2.0" to explain how autonomous and connected vehicles, connected infrastructure, and connected people may dramatically change cities in the future.
  • Cybersecurity - Liaised with City staff working on Cybersecurity, one of the greatest concerns with ubiquitous technology in the urban environment.
  • Surveillance Concerns - Addressed community concerns on surveillance during a 2017 presentation at Transportation Camp as "smart" technology is sometimes perceived by the public to work both for and against their personal safety.
YouTube video from Robin Chase, cofounder of ZipCar, on how proactive planning for Autonomous Vehicles could reap better outcomes.
